The Nevada City, Montana Living History Museum is a member of the Mountain Plains Region of the Association for Living History, Farms, and Agricultural Museums.

14 remaining original structures in Nevada City, 108 buildings many that were historic buildings moved to the site by Bovey Restorations to prevent their destruction. The museum has been used as a major motion picture movie set for films such as Return to Lonesome Dove, Missouri Breaks, Thousand Pieces of Gold, and many more.

The site is managed by the Montana Heritage Commission. The Curator of Living History is Dan Thyer.
